I found a used performax 16-32 on CL last week about 2 hours away... and I bought it home. This week I bought bulk sandpaper, casters and an ammeter like Curt Harms in this thread:

I have the ammeter and will install tonight or tomorrow and the sander works great! I have a 0.002 diff fom one side to the other and a slight hump in the center of about 0.003 ( I assume the table is deflecting under the belt).
Do you sand directly after planing or just before glue-up? I see advantages both ways?
