View Full Version : Update on DC T-fitting

I remade the T-fitting for the hook-up to the miter saw and the radial arm saw. I took John Miliunas’s advice and rounded the slope on the inside of the divider in the center of the T-fitting. First pic is a view of the top of the fitting.

This setup works better than I thought it would. The next picture is after I cut a 6" wide piece of MDF into 12 one inch slats, not much dust left!

Good solution to a tight space, especially since you started out with a "milder" form of tee.

What a clean installation.

I've got a bunch of those types of blastgates, and have found it works best to cut off a bit of the back of the slide to keep clogs from forming when you shut the gate.

Wait till you have troubles before going to the trouble tho.
