Is there a way to mark 14 k gold? Anyone used Thermark LLM-14 or other method? I can scuff the gold to be less reflective if necessary. The marks need to be on 1/4"x1/4" (1/32" thick) gold so I don't want too much trial & error. Is this doable with a Co2, 30 watt laser? Any (alternative) ideas are much appreciated!

If you search I did a post at least 1-2 years ago with photo where I used cermark on gold bracelets made for dolls, that were smaller than that, and they came out surprisingly well. Scary job to do though.

Joe- Thanks very much for the reference. It amazes me that you and others at the Creek have "already done that, been there" time after time. I may have to expand my substrate horizons in order to stump you someday.
I will pickup Thermark LMM-14 and give it a go. Thanks again!

I would lean toward the old fashioned diamond drag method.
