I played in a golf scramble last Monday and did something funky to my hand... specifically my right index finger.

Been in pain all week and finally went and to the doctor. Turns out I tore the tendon's and bone chipped an area of the joint. Now I may or may not need to see a hand surgeon, depends on how it heals. http://pic14.picturetrail.com/VOL561/3684635/17773411/277704638.jpg

The good news is that I can still turn, I like holding the handle in my right hand, so the guide is still in the uninjured left.

OUCH!!!!!!!!!

Wow...'hope that heals quickly. But perhaps that was just life telling you to spend more time in the shop instead of playing pasture pool... :D

Yup!! - people don't realize that golf is a contact sport! Hope you heal soon and totally!

Jon...heal fast and well!

Yup golf can be tough. We had a salesman who retired. He had been a tennis pro all of his adult life. After retiring he took up golf. Shortly there after he was teeing off......tore his biseps muscle from it's ligaments.

Golf is:

A) An excuse to start drinking at 9AM
B) An excuse for adult men to dress up in ridiculous costumes without having to offer any explanations.
C) A really expensive way to play marbles.
D) The only sport known to cause more lies to be told than fishing.
E) The only game in which chipping the ball is a good thing.
Etc....

I can testify to the fact that golf is dangerous, 2 years ago one of our standard Sunday 4-some was behind me about 40-50 yards. He didn't warn me he was getting ready to hit the ball. All I heard was the ball contact the club and somebody yell fore.....The next thing I knew I was on the ground with an orange size bruise on my right hip.....Man did that hurt and that was only the 6th hole....We have yet to let him live it down LOL!
