I've an old 4-1/4 Craftsman benchtop Jointer. I don't use it often, but I need to now. Unfortunately, I can't find the safety key. I didn't think that this would be a big deal, but Sears lists the part as "You're joking, right? Why would we sell that? (OK, it's actually "We're sorry. This part is no longer available. No alternate or substitute part has been recommended by the manufacturer.", but I think that's the same thing). The jointer is normally stored under a bench, so I'm not worried about accidental turnons. Anyone see a real problem with just replacing the switch with a generic rocker? Does anyone know of an alternate source for these?
