I have a Powermatic Model 60 jointer that I bought used. It is an older machine and the porkchop cutterhead guard is missing. Does anybody know of a source for used parts where I can find one?

Nice machine. Your best bet is to make your own replacement. Take a look at www.owwm.org, and post to the forum if you want advice from people familiar with that model.

You can still get some parts from them. I got a few odds and ends for the same jointer, but I'd think a cutter head guard would be very expensive.

If you don't have luck with Powermatic, there is a new old stock Rockwell pork chop guard on ebay right now.

Like Rich said, Powermatic still has some older parts. Redmond Machinery also supposedly has a stock of old Powermatic parts. But good luck finding out what--they didn't respond to 1 email or voicemail messages I've left them and I've called numerous other times and the person responsible for them doesn't seem to answer his phone.
