Got some time yesterday to set up the new Grizzly G0514X2 BS, I used the stock blade that came with the saw to set things up, and did a test cut with it. It worked as expected, so the blade got coiled up and put away, incase I ever need to cut something that will ruin a blade. Then I installed a Lenox Tri Master Carbide blade, I was speechless, a red hot knife thru butter was even a good comparison, maybe a laser thru whip cream. I tried hard maple, 4 1/2” birch plywood I had glued up from 6 pieces of 13 ply ¾”, the saw didn’t even slow down. The blade was bought from Kaufman http://www.kci2.com/cgi-bin/webc.cgi/st_main.html?p_catid=10005 , they’re on sale now, think I’ll order a spare or two.:D

I have a Lennox carbide on my MM16 and I couldn't agree more. I've been resawing some 1" thick mahogany to get 1/2" stock for a project. Instead of getting just one 1/2" piece out of the 1", I can get 2 usable pieces just slightly less than 1/2" ----and the results are consistent.

I noticed they don't have a blade length on the order form. My delta needs 105" blades. The order form shows one price then a list for feet inches and so on. What length was your blade and what was the final cost?

Chuck, click on the part number for the width you want, the next window you put in the blade length. They weld the blade to the length you request.

The web site shows out of stock, it was the same when I ordered mine. I called them to ask when it would be in stock, they said because they are made to order it shows out of stock, but they stock the blade in rolls and cut and weld to order. Had the blade in less than a week.

Congratulations. In a few months terms such as barreling and blade drift will be a distant memory.

Hmmm, they claim this one will work on 14" saws. I wonder if they've gotten past the premature fatigue issues. Sorta sounds like it.

Hi Ed, good to hear your BS is up and running. I almost had heart failure when I clicked on your link and it showed $15.91 for a 3/4" blade ('bout half what a Timberwolf costs, I'm thinking). Bubble burst a second later, though, when I realized this was the per foot charge.

What width did you order for the 19"? I'm thinking 3/4" is probably the max my "little brother" 0513X2 could take.

BTW, the TW 2/3PC blade worked very well sawing veneer from 7" mahogany. Haven't had a chance to test the full capacity yet.

Gary, I got a 1/2" and 1", so far only tried the 1/2". I got started on the neighbor's bar stools I'm building far him.

The Lennox 3/4" is the one and only one I will use to resaw on my Delta 14" bandsaw. I resaw alot of exotics and this is where it really shines. I highly recommend them.

Does over $90 sound right for a 111" 1/2" blade? That doesn't even seem to compute if you used $14.09/foot sale price. I must be doing something wrong.

I've had one on my 18" bs for over 5 years now, it still cuts like butter. Wouldn't even think of buying a regular blade. Steve

Basil, 111" is 9" 3" if you enter that and don't forget to set the fraction to 0", the next page shows $112.23 less discount of 1.22 for a total of $101.01
