If you have used those plastic bell mouth adaptors on your 4" DC hose, you know how handy they are. Here is how I am making a quick change setup for 6" hose.
There are various 'starter collars' available for HVAC ducting that will work, but the one that I found to be great is from McMaster Carr, item #6766K42.
It is called a self sealing collar, because it has double stick tape on the flange plus holes to screw it on. This baby is about 6" long and 24GA. You use this on the machine. This thing is solid as a rock.
On the hose end a 3# coffee can will fit into the hose and the end has a nice lip around it to keep it sturdy. This fits perfectly around the above collar.
Presto/chango.....you now have a quick change setup for 6" hose.
There are other ways, but this one works neatly for me.

PS: There are other cans this size. I think I got olives in one at Costco.
