Just successfully finished my first attempt at spraying lacquer with an HVLP conversion gun on some cabinet drawers. Here's my question. I'd like to spray some more tomorrow. Can I leave the remaining mixture in the gun overnight or should I discard it, clean the gun, and start over fresh tomorrow (I've seen some posts where some leave it in somewhat indefinitely). Any advice would be greatfully appreciated. Thanks.

I'll leave mine in the gun for several days at a time without using it.

If its gloss, it won't require stirring normally.

If its satin, the solids will settle to the bottom, requiring some stirring, or pouring it back in the can, stir, then refill the gun

I keep a gun loaded with full gloss lacquer in my shop at all times. The only cleaning I do is to the air cap when I am done. Just swish it around in a little lacquer thinner ($25 for 5 gallons at the auto parts store), blow it out and put it back on the gun for next time.
