All the pencil kits I have found on-line and in various catalogs are for 0.7mm leads. I am looking for a mechanism that is designed for a 0.5mm lead. Does anybody know a source for these?

Thanks!

Donn, go to Crafts Supplies USA. I just did selected ball point pen kits and then did a search using "pencil kits" as the search item. They had at least 3 "0.5" mm kits.

Here's the link: http://www.woodturnerscatalog.com/cgi-bin/woodturners/dyna/dynaa9EbYk?page_number=1

Bill sells a Schmidt Parker style pencil mechenism in a .5 & .7
You can use this to convert a Parker style ball pen to a pencil. Some mods might be neccessary, depending on the kit. But it is a quality mechanism.
