Okay, got the spalted pecan bowl finished. I didn't think it turned out to bad. I made the bottom sides thicker to add some weight. 2-3/4" high, 5-3/8" diameter, thickness varies.....

I do love that rim treatment Bonnie. The rest of the bowl is beautiful too. It is a showpiece. :D:D

Very nice bowl, Bonnie. You know, I only learned about 'spalting' a couple of years ago, and it is my favorite wood feature, even above beautiful grain patterns. Nature never ceases to amaze and humble me. Mike :)

Good looking bowl Bonnie! Beautiful wood spalting and color. Like the others have stated - the rim treatment adds a little something extra to the bowl! Very nice work! Looking forward to seeing more!
