Need help in re-assemblying the bevel lock system on Dewalt 7740. New Bevel Release pin, rollpin and bevel latch spring. Everything back together but not enough push from the spring to allow the release to re ingage into the dial plate. Anyone had this sort of problem on the old Dewalts # 7730-7740,7770. Saw was purchased back in late 60's.
Wolfe machinery had all the parts needed, but instruction manual for saw is really not quite the clear.

I had one of these, but replaced it with an MBF.

Try posting on owwm.com, someone there will be able to help for sure.

I had a similar problem on the Delta turret RAS I just purchased. The arm pivot plunger assembly wouldn't seat after I put it back together. The reason? The parts sealed too well, and the air couldn't escape. Once the plunger was pulled back, it wouldn't go back in cuz the air had no place to go! I loosened the set screw holding the assembly on, and then it worked like a charm. I don't know the construction of DeWalts, but you may have a similar situation. Hope this helps. :)
