A few months ago I posted a wood gloat about a huge silver maple stump I scored that was encrusted in burl. Well here is the first bowl out of that stump. The little eye in the inside of the bowl reminds me of the eyespot on Jupiter, so I called the bowl Jupiter. It is just over 9 inches in diameter and about 3/8in thick.

I have plenty this wood, if anyone would like a piece, I would be more than willing to trade or sell a piece. Just send me a PM.

Cheers,

Joel

Very nice! I haven't turned in a while and stuff like this gets me going! I have some Holly with some nice blue/gray staining if you wanna trade flatrate boxes.

Wow Joel, that's a nice one. That wood is really some pretty stuff. And I like that squared off rim on the bowl. Nice one!
