I just ordered a Grizzly 8" jointer and a Grizzly 14" bandsaw that will be delivered after I return from vacation. I plan to order a planer tomorrow.

I am too new and too stupid or clumsy to just turn them on and start using them without knowing proper techniques. I bleed too easily and profusely for that.

What books would you recommend that will show proper techniques. I have already picked the machines and they will have manuals for setup, so I only need books that are filled with the safe right way to use them.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Jerry

Hi Jerry,

You didn't mention DVDs, but if a picture is worth a thousand words a moving picture must be worth more. This DVD by Hendrik Varju is the best I've seen about using jointers and planers, well worth the price.
