Anyone what the name of the spray is that you put in a older dogs water that's supposed help their joints. I've seen infomercials but don't remember the name. A buddy of mine at work said his older dog is having trouble moving around now and what the vet gave him doesn't help that much.

Don't bother.

Go to your local large pharmacy and buy the cheapest glucosamine supplement you can find. 1500 mg is a standard dose for a medium (70 lb) dog.

That along with a 1/2 aspirin daily (it has to be aspirin and not another pain reliever) works wonders every time.

It is possible with some searching you can find dog specific stuff that is cheaper but I haven't ever been able to do so.

The sprays are a more expensive way to achieve the same thing. They are however simpler to use.

Wow, thanks a lot everyone for the quick replies. I'll pass this info along. He said the dog still has a great attitude and still chases a squirrel now and then but she has trouble getting up after laying around.
