I was just looking at Mike Harris's beautiful table that he's entered in the Fine Woodworking magazine contest. I get inspiration from a lot of projects I see on TV, in magazines, and on the 'Net, and this is yet another great example. I would like to build and enter a project in a contest like that, but at this point I would like to do something more live and interactive. I am wondering if anybody knows of anything like this that happens in the Indiana area?
I'm not doing this because I think I'm that good, but because I want and need to be challenged to continue to evolve and improve through constructive criticism. I thought it would be fun, educational, and an opportunity to get an interested customer. I'm guessing that there are probably a few people here that have entered contests, shows, or other woodworking exhibitions where their work was judged. Does anybody have any advice?
Thanks in advance!
Travis
