FREEDOM PENS NEEDS YOU.

Normally I would not post here but I know that some of you don't check the Freedom Pens Forum.

We have had a request for 6,000 pens from the Aircraft Carrier Abraham Lincoln. At this point in time, I have no pens left to send as I have just shipped out the last 500 pens I had.

If you have some time on your hands please make some pens for the cause.
Our service men and women need to know how much support they have here at home.

Let's see if we can provide them with that support.

In the last four years we have shipped almost 86,000 pens. Your help will be appreciated more than you know.

Thanks in advance for your help.

We now have requests from Afganistan and Iraq coming in and we are out of pens. Anyone who has pens to ship please send them to us as fast as you can so we can respond to the requests we are receiving via email.

Anyone who has been thinking about making pens for our Troops and hasn't had the time please join the Freedom Pens Project and help us out, it is very rare for us to be out of pens but with the schools being out for the summer we lose a steady source of pens.

How about ten pens? If everyone will make ten Freedom Pens we will have hundreds of pens to ship in no time at all.

Who is giving the discounts for the pen kits? So far PSI has the funlines for $1.35 ea if I buy 100 or more. Can anyone else beat that price? I am going to need at least 100 and maybe more kits for a group of old farts :D that are going to turn some pens for the troops?

If you are doing a group buy for kits I would like to buy 50 of them to make into pens for the troops. Please let me know so I can make sure to have the money ready when the time comes.

Bobby,

Contact Jackie Outten via PM for information concerning our bulk purchasing of pen kits. You can order pen kits at a discount from Freedom Pens. Jackie normally orders between 500 to 1000 pen kits at a time.

Jackie a little update so you know we are still working on this.
I am gathering pens from the Membership of IAP (International Association of Penturners). Pens have started arriving and I am getting lots of positive responces.
When I ship these pens to you they will be from IAP not anyone person.
The adim. has added a stickey to the tread which will help get this moving.
Hopefully I will have a box ready by the end of the week.

Hey Jackie--------you will be happy to know that the folks over at IAP have been hard at work making pens for the FPP----We are working on the third box with a total of just over 300 pens. This has been a lot of work but worth every minute---what a great bunch of folks----makes me proud to be a member of IAP.----:)---

My eldest son is in the Army and has served one tour of duty in Iraq and he is currently stationed in Guantanamo bay as a corrections specialist.
Not a day goes by he is not in my thoughts and prayers.

That being said, and today being Memorial day, if anyone wants some walnut burl pen blanks just let me know. I will slice up as much as needed!
My pm box is filling quick, you can e-mail me at Triangle5@sti.net (Triangle5@sti.net).

Thanks again,
Mark

There is a turner named Smitty over on IAP, he is also on Ebay. His prices are less then PSI. I will contact him and see what he can do price wise for this effort.
I will send some pens in by the end of next week.
