Hello,
I am building a deck of treated wood. I have 4x4 posts all the way around the perimeter. I am going to use premade railings form Lowe's Item #: 66981. The top and bottom rails are made of treated 2x4 and the balusters are treated 2x2.
My question is: Can I use pockets holes to fasten the rails to the 4x4 posts? ( I have a Kreg pocket hole kit) Will this be a strong joint? Is there anywhere I can buy galvanized pocket hole screws. I really don't want to rely on just toe nailing the rails into the posts. Thanks for the help.
