Hey cnc carvers,
I want to be able to quickly remove chips from the edges of alligator juniper slabs I've carved. I'm talking fairly large chip removal. I don't really want to create this with Artcam. I would rather just do it by hand. Slabs range from 2 to 3" thick and from 16 to 30" tall x 50 to 80" long. For the one in the pic I used a hand chisel and hammer and a grinder to round up the chiseling a little then used a torch on it. I've been looking at the Arbortech Power chisel and mini grinder. Have any of you guys used one of these?
thanks,
Shari

I have one I would sell real cheap just the carbide wheel. the teeth have some life left in them though one side may be chipped. how about 10.00 and shipping?
I agree it would be far faster and more random doing it that way. but far more messy. I found that shavings fly hard and far (G)

If you have a flex shaft tool, you can buy a reciprocating handpiece. Flex shaft makes one as does Master Carever. Both available for Wood Carvers Supply, Inc. www.woodcarverssupply

The RECIPRO-CARVER PRO is 49.95 plus shipping. (http://www.woodcarverssupply.com/store/prodinfo.asp?number=792400&variation=&aitem=33&mitem=49)
