You sure couldn't tell it was too thick by the pictures. Very nice Chris. :)

Only turners worry about "too thick", Chris. Rarely would a "customer" even notice. Nice job on this beautiful cherry.

Chris, I'm one of those uninformed flatworld guys, but it looks great to me!

Chris, how thick is 'too thick'? I agree with Jim, customers like what they like, and often it's a form with some heft to it.

I'm just starting to try some hollow forms, what tools are you using for the undercut? And how large is the opening?

Nice piece of cherry and the finish looks great.

/OT question - What do you have to do to get the green lights turned blue?
/ot answer - never mind, I figured it out, it means I'm online.

Looks nice to me but the craftsman is usually his own worst critic! That is a nice piece of cherry.

well up at the top it is less than a 1/4" which is fine

but when you get to the bottom its really bad probably in the area of 3/4

i thought i was close (thats what i get for thinking i guess)

it weighs in at 4 lbs ( wet wood ) keeping track on the weight till it dries
the finish is briwax
