Here's my new Home Made Steady Rest I made for turning Hollow Forms.:D
I hope it gets a lot of use!! But it may be awhile. :mad:
So far I roughed out 2 HF wih it & it worked Great. :)

Sorry I forgot to turn the pic's.
& give a description.
The hoop is 2 layers of 3/4" baltic birch ply. The Arms are 2" wide 3/8" thick steel. the Base is 2" angle iron. The quick action locking handles are steel. The wheels are skate board wheels (turned down to size ) with high speed percision bearings. Painted with Semi-gloss Black & Powermatic Gold paint.

Looks like you did a really nice job on building the steady rest! Looking forward to seeing some of your hollow forms real soon!
