MM16 foot brake not working

My saw will no longer stop when i use the foot brake. I'm sure it's the micro switch but it's buried behind lower wheel and not easy to get at. Any quick fixes i can try before i yank the lower wheel off?

Call minimax. They would know the easiest way to deal with it.

Brian....the switch is located behind the lower wheel. I'd check to see if something like a piece of wood has gotten between the arm and the switch and the button it trips...thus preventing the switch from functioning. Use your air compressor and blow back in there.

You might be able to at least visually inspect it using one of those small mirrors on a extending wand sold at auto parts stores. Either thru one of the cutout holes on the wheel or over the rim. If you do have to pull the wheel, it's a fairly quick job (maybe 10 minutes IIRC).
