Anyone out there have a cure for dust collection for a Dewalt DW708 slider? I have reduced from 4" to the 1 1/4' collector end on the saw, and I think I might be picking up two pieces of sawdust. The rest of it comes off both sides of the blade. I have built a shield behind the saw to keep most of it on the saw table, but sure would like to find some other way to pick up the dust better. Steve, frustrauted at the manufactors dust ports.

Steve,

Here is something I ran accross out there surfing recently. A product that's been designed for what you are looking for.

It's from a company called Downdrafter (no affiliation) at www.downdrafter.com.

Thought it was kind of interesting, although not inexpensive. I may build something to try first, but this looks kind of cool.

Steve,

I noticed the guy was selling them on Ebay for about half that. I bid on once once, but the reserve wasn't met. Figured I'd have to rework the "norm inspired miter bench and storage" to make that thing work, so I haven't tried a second time. But you never know.

What was his Ebay name? I am an Ebay fan. Here is what I presently have rigged on my saw, if I can get the pics to post. Yes, that white connector on the saw is a sink drain connector. The things you have to go through to get this stuff hooked up is amazing. Steve:D :D
Pics won't post. They are too many bites. How do I reduce them?

This works fine and is a d*** sight cheaper than $299

Cheers,

Dan

After the Doc helping me out resizing my pic, here is what I have on my dewalt. Still needs some serious work though. Steve
