A very rare Stanley No.13 circular plane. It the new jewel of my collection. This is the worse of the two sides of the plane, the other has way more jappaning.

Still need to clean it up some it has some dirt and gunk from sitting but I think it will clean up really nice.

Clint,

Congratulations on your new plane. It's very interesting. Where did you find that?

I had a pair of shoes in the '70's that looked like that. Now I see why I had problems getting someone to go to the prom with me. :(

Nice find. Congrats.

Clint, not being a true neander I have to ask, what is a circular plane and what is it used for?

Best explanation I can give a non neander is its the old timers way of cleaning up the outside and inside of a circular piece similar to what a template and a flush trimming bit does with a modern router after it's sawn out.

I thought it was one of my (rare) planes hehehe

I never seen one like that before how does it adjust the curve...
