I've got an 18" saw with a 3/4" blade on it. With the saw tensioned and the blade tracking in the middle of the upper wheel, the wheels are coplanar. Observing the blade just above the table, it seems to point back and forth as the wheels turn. Not shifting left/right, but pointing as if the upper wheel wants the blade to point to the left and the lower wheel, to the right.

Using a dial indicator, I measured the lower wheel to have 8 mils of run-out and 5 mils of wobble. The roundness can be corrected for a little by sanding the rubber tire, which was recommended to me by the manufacturer, and I have done it, but haven't remeasured since.

The upper wheel I can't measure the run-out because I can't get the indicator located, but the wobble is 15 mils. This is measuring the edge of the casting, so I take these wobble numbers with a grain of salt.

Any advice on what the problem is? I'm new to bandsaws but have read alot.
