Here's that scraper that i've been working on. This stuff is hard! The tang needs to be ground down more but it took me an hour to grind down the tang that far with a 36 grit wheel at 3450tps!:eek: The length from tip to where the tang starts is 14 inches. There's a 15 degree taper on the front. Used the disc sander on the up side to produce a nice burr. Tried it on some endgrain madrone "burl" that likes to tear out and it cut like butter with almost no tearout:Dhttp://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s251/Doomsdayboy666/bobscall.jpg

Looks like it is going to be a beast of a scraper - afraid of nothing! Looking forward to seeing it with your custom handle! Have fun with it!
