new pole saw

Went looking at the Sthil and Echo pole saws -with a chain saw built in. Round about $700.00 and they only go to 12'.

After thinking about how much I anticipated using it I decided to find another tool.
Got the Silky 21 foot collapsible saw. The thinks is fast (maybe as fast as a chain saw) smooth and light. I rather like this more than I think I'd like the chain saw on a pole and it reaches a full 21' to boot.

Cliff,
I use the Fiskars and have been happy with it. Don't remember how high it reaches but it does most of the cutting I need.

Guessing I have the same thing as David. 'Cept mine have the loper jaws opposed 180* to the saw blade.
I know when you use one for an hour or 3 they are great for reminding you there are muscles between your shoulder blades that don'e get used much....:cool:
