About as far from woodworking as it gets but here goes. After about 4 years of shopping I found a very cherry and super clean 95' two door tahoe 4x4.

It has a shiny black paint job that needs to be protected because it gets parked outside when I am at work. So I went to the auto parts store to get some wax. After looking at all the new and improved offerings I settled on the "Turtle Wax Ice". It stated that it can be applied in direct sunlight and it can also be used on plastic trim that most waxes will leave a permanent white haze on if you accidently get some on it.

It worked exactly as stated. It did a great job on the paint and really shined the black plastic trim and all the rubber trim around the side and rear windows.

Anybody have a suggestion as to what product to use on the leather seats?

Hello,

Anybody have a suggestion as to what product to use on the leather seats?
I used Armour All leather on the seats in my van.
Worked pretty well, but it needs to be reapplied often.
The good news is a little goes a long way - provided the leather is fairly clean to begin with.
1 spray bottle easily lasted me the three years I had the van.

Look into some 303 Aerospace Protectant. You will probably have to order online though. I got a gallon on eBay. Other supposedly good products are Leatherique cleaner and conditioner. I had mixed results though, seemed to strip the finish. A good stand-by is Lexol products.

+1 more for the 303 Aerospace stuff.
Had the same truck for 11 years and the interior has seen nothing but 303 & looks like it did off the lot in 97.

FWIW.

Had a buddy back in high school that bought a camaro he was real proud of. He put vasoline on the seats & dash. I don't recommend it.

If you use ArmorAll on the interior don't do like an acquaintance and wipe down the steering wheel. Said it made the vehicle next to impossible to drive. Also he said he nearly slid out of the seat more than once.

I use Lexol on my leather seats. I buy it at a Tractor Supply store. They sell it for use on leather saddles.

Lexol is absolutely the way to go. Even keeps leather convertible seats in good shape
