I have never seen pin chucks commercially available exept in larger sizes.

For smaller sized ones most people make their own . I used to have a machineist that would make me pin chucks for closed end pens cheaply but he does not do it anymore.

If you need help on how to make one drop me a PM. I personally use a threaded bottle stopper mandrel and tap the hole in the stopper blank.

You can get one here: http://www.packardwoodworks.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=110106&Category_Code=

If you have a machinist friend they are easy to make. 3/8" drill rod with a 1/8" flat ground on it and a small piece of 1/8" dowel stock and that's it.

I have a friend that made up a half dozen or so and think he sells them for about $10. PM me and I'll put you two in touch.........Ron

There is a very good article at the penturners.org site titled "O-Ring Pin Chuck".
I'll bet if you google that title it will lead you right to it.

It gives very good and illustrated instructions on making and using a pin chuck, one using an O-Ring to lock in the "stock".

Good luck.

Paul, You might want to check with Penn State Industries for a pin chuck.
I bought one that is a combination unit that is a screw chuck& collet chuck, that comes with a forstener bit .....all for around $28.00.
I bought one and so far I like it. Jim Heffner
