It is maple like that big blank and when I started I fully intended to embellish it because I thought the wood was going to be bland. It never ceases to amaze me what is inside a piece of wood.

11 3/4" x 1 1/2", antique oil and buffed, right at 3/16" wall thickness.

What do you think?

Beautiful bowl Toney - amazing wood! Glad you left it natural - can't imagine improving what you already have! Very nice! Hope the big one has as much working for it as this one!

I'm not sure, but I think embellishing that would be a sin. Great form, great wood.

Real nice, Toney, especially the form. The concave slope of the rim looks really cool.
