checking price

hello, I found this on creigslist:CHESTNUT resawn from old barn beams. Have about 500 bd ft 4/4, 100 bd ft 5/4, 300 bd ft 7/4.
Do you think that price in NOVA for $7 per bf is reasonable?

Chestnut can go for much more and that vintage material can be really nice. $7 actually sounds quite reasonable no matter where you live. Heck, wide "pumpkin" pine resawn from old beams goes for nearly $11 around here.

Old growth, clear, dry? If you can get it to Oregon, I'll take it all. They don't make it like that anymore.

Sounds cheap actually. I've seen $19-$22/BF in eastern US when available.
