I finally got a great burr on my card scraper. I had been using a sharpening jig the I bought at Woodcraft. I could not ever get a good burr. Consequently I made dust, not shavings. I tried using a smooth screw driver, like David Marks uses, to put on the burr. It works sooooo great. I just had to share my joy with everyone. It is nice when you get it right once and a while. I shaped a mallet handle using the scraper and it was a joy to see the shavings come off quickly and smooth.
