I notice that Festool sells two types of H&L paper for the RO 150. Anyone know the difference between the white paper & the brown? Is one longer lasting than the other?
What are your preferences?

Are there any other paper suppliers for the 150?

Thanks for any info

Bruce,

Both the Brilliant and Rubin series are non-sterated, aluminum oxide papers. The Rubin (reddish) is for bare wood and has a coating that sheds wood fibers. Grits from 24-180. The backing is waaay heavier on the Rubin series.

The Brilliant (greyish) papers are designed primarily foir painted and varnised wood, though can and does work well on bare wood. It as anti-static coating tat is compatible with water based products. Grits from 40-400.
Klingspor makes papers with Festool's 9 hole pattern.

Bruce,
As Bob said, the Rubin paper works very well on bare wood. They are the best disks I have ever used. The heavy backing on the disks keeps them from tearing if you catch on a corner or when sanding across dado grooves.

I use mostly Rubin, I have a bit of Brilliant in 120-150 grit. The Rubin just keeps going and going and going and..........
