I decided to build a material stop for use on my table saw and bandsaw, to be positioned to the right of the blade and held down with magnets. I considered buying two Mag-Jig magnetic clamps, but then occurred to me that I already had two of those clamps in my MagSwitch featherboard. So this is what I came up with:

Great idea Cary. Is that a dowel or a metal pin that you used as the striking point?

It's a 9/16" diameter brass rod I just happened to have. I expect a wooden point would have been fine, though.

Cary, you have demonstrated the difference between a "cobbler" and a craftsman. I, being a "cobbler", would have cobbled something together using whatever scrap plywood, etc. may have been lying around the shop. You, on the other hand, being a craftsman, have created a beautiful and functional piece of work from nicely figured and well finished wood.

Very nice! And, a great idea that I just borrowed!
