myford chuck

I recently found a Myford ML 8 42" bed lathe. It did not come with a chuck. It is the original cream colored machine and is about 40 years old but in great shape. For $140 i couldn't sat no.

Anyone out there know if you can still find a chuck for this machine? Any help would be apprecaited.

Alex, according to this: http://www.lathes.co.uk/myfordwood/ you should be able to use a Oneway with an adapter as shown here: http://www.oneway.ca/chucks/adaptors.htm

With a little effort you should be able to find other chucks that will work as well.
