Looking for a full size #2 Sq. drive screwdriver. One with a good large grip. All I can find is the small plastic handled ones. Kinda what you get packed with knock down furniture. I have a 7 in one that changes the tips but get sick of the tips always coming out. The grip on them is good. Just do not like the changeable bits.

I got a Klein 4" from the Orange BORG....look in the section with all the electrician tools. The blue BORG should also have them.

Dave,

My HD and local Ace Hardware carry the tips. If you have a multi-bit handle you like buy the tip and maybe secure with some tape. I use my 4" #2 square drive bit in my cordless drill. Works well.

Option B, JB weld the tip into a dedicated driver. I prefer the Klein option.

Great little Canadian invention those Robertson screws! Check out Lee Valley or any Canadian store. I have built several hundred feet of fence using these drivers in a drill. Don't go cheap, the bits will round off if you don't get quality.

I bought a Craftsman at Sears and a Husky at HD. Regular screwdriver size with the #2 tip.

Another vote for McFeely's. I even broke one from McFeely's...one email about it and I had a new one a few days later. McFeely's also has a lot of variable length square-drive drill bits. I use these A LOT and I do need the various lengths...really helps depending upon the situation.

Do you turn?

If so, you can buy a 4 in 1 kit from Rockler for about $5 and turn the handle that suits you from your favorite wood.
The 4 in 1 will have a #1 and #2 square drive as well as a #1 and #2 Phillips. A handy combination for the shop. Or, you can buy a plastic handle driver from McF's (buy some screws and they will give you one). Cut off the plastic handle and turn the handle that suits you.

McFeeley's has some very nice ones that I find the grip secure and comfortable.

We Canadians have to chuckle at the lengths you folks have to go through to get square drive screwdrivers. When I buy hardware with Philips screws I just toss the screws and replace them with Robertsons, it is not worth the hassle dealing with the Philips.

Lee Valley has a set of beautiful screwdrivers. Follow this link. (http://www.leevalley.com/wood/page.aspx?c=1&p=32208&cat=1,43411,43417&ap=1) While expensive, they feel great in the hand.
