I'm now thinking of trying to re-saw the short logs into small boards to make into small boxes, but I know that I need to coat the ends of the logs, but with what?
Also - since I don't have a big saw to resaw these logs, what can I purchase/build to do this?
Thanks, Michael

Anchorseal is the standard. Some people also use Latex paint but is not quite as good.
How wide are the boards, i think you really need a band saw to resaw.

Anchor Seal or the Bailey product are the best. How big are the logs you want to resaw? Both the length and diameter are important as they determine the weight and the best course of action depends on whether you can move the log through a saw or need a saw to move through the log.
