We just got a new washer (actually tomorrow) and I need to build a pedestal for under the dryer to raise it 16" to match. The pedestal will sit on the concrete basement floor, and be about 24X27X16" high. It doesn't need to be fancy, only functional. I probably won't even paint it.
Do I need to build a torsion box or can I simply use stick and frame construction?
The 16" height suggests plywood to me, probably PT since it contacts the concrete floor. Your thoughts?
I know there are probably many ways to accomplish this but I thought I would pick the collective brains of this forum. Thanks for all your responses.
