Made in the USA - revisited

Greg Karol's post (http://sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?t=84750) in the Off Topic Forum asked the question "How important is Made in the USA to you?"

Looks like Eagle American must think it's important to woodworkers. I just received their summer sale catalog, and the emphasis is on Made in the USA. They even have a web page devoted to Made in the USA - http://eagleamerica.com/madeintheusa/ .

The USA made router bits look like they could be made by Whiteside - I wonder? I would order a few - "buy 3+ and take 15% off - if they are Whiteside.

It's curious thing, but Eagle has a sister operation with the exact same profiles that are value priced and "not" made in North America. So they give you a choice...

As to the Eagle product, my 15º Shaker rail/stile door set is from them and it's top notch.

I will second the high quality of Eagle american router bits.

Thanks Jim and Mike,

I usually buy Whiteside, but I'll give Eagle American a try. I'm buying basic edge forming, pattern and flush trim bits to fill gaps in my collection. Pleased I can buy made in USA products.
