hi there,

I ve been looking for a good source of thin hardwood ( especially maple) . I've foundsome 1/8" which I guess I can just plane down. Does anyone know of a good supplier (especially in Los Angelese Area) for this kind of wood?

Thanks,

www.micromark.com has walnut, mahogany, cherry, and basswood in 3/32x4x24 sheets.

I think I've seen thin hardwood at the local Woodcraft, but I can't quickly find it in the web site.

http://www.itascawoodproducts.com/ specializes in thin wood.

You might PM George Perzel: he sells thin stock (or used to anyway) to the folks on the laser forum. It's slightly thicker, nominally ~5/32, but that's right off the saw.
