I usually post here in the Turners section, but thought i'd share my good fortune up here as I do flat work as well.
On another forum I got a heads up on a CL ad for Performax 16-32 Plus Drum Sander, seller was asking $400.00.
I emailed him several days past thought for sure it was long gone, and finally a reply with the sellers phone number.
I called him made arrangements to go look it over that evening.
I offered him $360.00, and he said thats fine.
I know, no pics did not happen, so here they are.

I stopped off at Woodcraft on my way home with it and JET wants $120.00 for the caster set , Woodcraft had theirs on sale so I got an exact set for under $50.00.(except the urathane wheels are orange instead of gray.)

While I am at the sellers house I notice an older Unisaw shoved in the corner on his garage buried under a pile of stuff, I said Is that an old table saw in the corner? ( Playing dumb of course, I was drooling inside.)(seller was my age mid 40's)
He says yeah but I wasn't planning on selling it, it's an old Army Issue saw from 1929, I laughed inside as I knew Uni's werent made in 1929, and no 4 feet on it either so I knew it was newer that 1938-9?
I said well IF you were going to sell it, how much would you sell it for?
He talks abut it some more, about how powerful it is at cutting through Oak ect. but says again he wasnt planning on selling it.
I said OK, would you take $200.00 cash for it it might make a nice clean up project for me. I pulled out the 100 bills from my pocket and waited he stood there looking at my cash and the saw and said yes $200.00 will be fine it's yours.:D
Again No pics did'nt happen, I'll post the Unisaw pics in a reply.
