First acrylic pens

Inspired by a David Sallee post a while back, I delved into acrylic pens recently. Gave the left one to LOML for her birthday - she used to teach scuba diving in the Virgin Islands, so she absolutely love the colors!

The one on the left is from a Woodcraft Azurite blank & Euro kit, the right hand one is an unknown blank, but a Rockler Euro kit which ended up with a bad twist mechanism. The right hand one was just for practice anyway - the Azurite was the goal.

I also took a cue from David's photography, shooting the pens on a pile of acrylic shavings.

Very nice pens Steve! Really like the one on the left - I can see why LOYL loves it! Photo looks really good also!

nice pens. for the photo, i think with that color, they wouldve stood out more if you had just left them against the granite counter.
