I've been having a great time messing around with this off center/eccentric turning. I haven't quite figured out how to design anything, just turning and seeing what it ends up with. I almost cut this one off. But it's pretty fun and pretty nerve wracking. This goblet is cocobolo, 6" x 1 3/4", just waxed and buffed.

Curt - I love it! Beautiful wood and the stem is fantastic! Looking forward to seeing more of your off-center stuff - very imaginative!

Very nice but I have a tough time wrapping my mind around eccentric turnings. My mind does not believe the input from my eyes. :)

That is really neat! One question: do you have to make sure to balance it, so one side doesn't have more material than the other and it falls over every time?

Just found out that this piece made today's WOW cover! Congrats Curt - that's hard to do considering all the competition! Glad to see you get the recognition!

Nice. It has the "how did you do that?" look.

Nicely done Curt! As previously stated that has that "How'd he do it? and for me "Would I want to do it? Do I have the courage to do it" look to it.
