View Full Version : Box Elder Candy Dish

Got this one done yesterday. This stuff turns real nice, even when dry, I used the shear scraper and the 80 grit gouge to get rid of the tearout. I burned the rim, and I think I like the contrast.

Box elder. 6"x1.5". Sanded to 400, finished with a light coat of carnuba.

once again, nice work ben. i think the burnt edge gives it that extra touch, but looks kinda lost, burn the bottom edge too. how deep is that?, its kinda hard to tell from the pictures

Nice wood and design Ben! I've never been a big fan of burned effects but it works on this piece! Looking forward to seeing what you come up with next!

Nice design Ben I also like the burnt lines as said before it gives the piece a bit more contrast and sets it off.
