I have several pieces of shop equipment on the Woodcraft Heavy Duty Double Locking Casters - the thicker ones with the redish tires. I've tried other brands, but they typically don't match the robustness of the Woodcraft ones. I know they are probably imports, but I'm wondering if anyone out there has found an internet source for the exact ones. I would like to find a source for the same caster that doesn't charge $15 - $16 per caster. Thanks,

Wait for them to go on sale. They do, several times a year.

I also use the woodcraft casters for all my stuff, I love them. I have looked everywhere I can find for a cheaper copy and have come up empty. I just wait for them to go on sale now like Bruce said.

Yep, the 3" ones often sell for around $9 or something like that. I currently have 16 of them in use in my shop.

I didn't see those in the HF catalog. Do you have a part number?

3" Swivel ITEM 97310-0VGA
3" Fixed ITEM 97309-0VGA

From what I can see in the pictures at HF and WC I would wait until the WC's go on sale. YMMV

Peachtree sells the same casters as Woodcraft. At the shows, they sell for the sale price of Woodcrafts. They might also be one to watch for online sales.

You could also design your items, in such a way, that you could use the Hartville, cheaper casters, and bolts to drop down and level the item. (wheels would be off the ground then).
