A little briwax and elbow grease. Flatten the sole and sharpened. I tried to get a picture of the gap in the mouth but it is so small its hard to see. Usually these planes have huge mouths this one was OK. What a bang for your buck and so comfortable to use.

Clint,

Nice job on that plane, what a thin mouth, I am impressed. And it looks like that is a laminated blade, how did it sharpen up?

I like the feel of wooden planes, better center of gravity and easy to handle in cold weather. They also don't dent your work if you should ever drop your plane on your work, not that that would ever happen.

Yes, that is nice work. I bet it gave you a good feeling to bring it back to life.

These little guys are great once you learn to rehab them. Minimal investment, they always seem to be available on the open market. I am inspired to start rehab on a jointer.
