It's still in the back of my van, so I don't have the serial number, date etc. It's in good shape and I only paid $50!

I also bought a 17" Kent slow speed floor buffer. $75 with one block. Not too bad.

Here is a link to what it looks like: http://www.owwm.com/PhotoIndex/detail.aspx?id=3345

Wow, great deal. I have a 1966 141 which I love. New bearings, new tires, and a link belt. Purrs like a kitten. I paid a lot more than you did. Good luck.

I'm awaiting approval at owwm, but I'm currious about the date on this. The serial number is 2-396. I couldn't figure out how to read the serial number guide at owwm. Can anyone assist me here?

I'm pretty sure it has been repainted once. It's green, but I see drips. I will post some photos once I get it downstairs. It's in the garage now, and I'll have to take apart the base from the top to lighten the load enough.

Thanks, Sam

FYI - Best guess at OWWM is 61 or 62.

I just tried to upload to photobucket and my computer is having issues. The app (explorer or firefox) crashes every time a window to browse my drive pops up. I had a crash a couple of weeks ago and the restore thing that comes preinstalled on this compaq did a number on my system.

Photos will have to wait until tomorrow.

OK. Here you go. I'm sort of posting a blow by blow over at owwm if anyone wants to follow along. I think that for a first bandsaw and for a first 'restore' it's a great project. Not too difficult, and nothing more major than a couple of bearings so far.
