My daughter just graduated from Hamilton College in NY (magna cum laude :D ) and will be moving very very soon to Brooklyn NY to begin a two year contract with Teach for America... (English in High school)

She has already been placed at a high school in Brooklyn (a challenging school, but one she was very excited to be placed at) and now the frenzy of moving, apartment hunting etc., begins... Looks like one neighborhood she is looking at is "Park Slope" and another is "Prospect Heights"... Looks like her budget will permit a small studio in one of these neighborhoods and they look like they might be a good fit... she will also spend a fair amount of time in Manhatten as she is involved in Theatre.

As I'm not all that familiar with Brooklyn, perhaps some of our creekers living there, or knowing the neighborhoods could chime in...
She will be headed to the city in less than two weeks to start training (housing provided), but will need her apartment in very early August...

feel free to pm me....

Thanks,

Roger

If she can get a place in Park Slope, life will be good. It is a very nice place, easy subway to Manhattan, its own culture and night life and lots of young people/families.
