This is driving me nuts since updating from IE 6.0 to 7.0--To view the "click on" pics, I have to refresh my screen each time to see one pic. If not, I get "an error on page" type response. No problem before updating to 7.0--any suggestions. I know I can use other internet programs but do need the IE7.0 for work related items. Gotta be something simple in the setup parameters. Any help appreciated.
Edit: I do only notice this on SMC related pics. Other websites it does not seem to bother.

I can't help but I'm using IE 7 with no problems.

Mark, can you give an example of a thread which has this problem, and explain click-by-click the steps through which you go to view pictures?

Ron,
For example, Steve's post here--http://70.169.135.35/showthread.php?p=869247#post869247
The post does not show a pic but states to click image for larger version, Then I get the "error on page" response. If I then refresh the screen, I can pick one item to view, and then if I pick the second pic to view, it returns the "error on page" response. I have to refresh the screen each time to select the second, third, etc pic to view.

I'm a bit curious about why you are showing an IP address instead of something like:

http://sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?p=869247#post869247

Could you try accessing that link, then try clicking a picture and let me know if you have the same problem?

Ron,
clicking on your address, it shows all the pics available. This is what I would like to see. Any ideas?

Sounds like maybe the attachment database isn't on the same physical server as the post database, and by using the hardcoded IP address, the translation gets buggered up somehow?

(I'm computer-literate, but DNS issues are waaay out on the farthest edge of my knowlege range, so I don't know if that really made sense.)

Mark, my suspicion is that it is a security setting.

Can you tell me, though, why you are acessing Sawmill Creek through an IP address rather than its domain name?

If this is from a stored favourite, please edit the favourite URL to replace the IP address with "sawmillcreek.org", as shown in the example link I provided.

Have you considered switching to Firefox which by most estimates is a better browser? :D

Ron,
That did it. I guess that when updating, keeping the web address in "my favorites" somehow got messed up. I copied over it, and it worked. Or it could have been during SMC's updates when the system was down except for entering the http address. Don't know, but working great now.
Thanks.

That's my solution. There are very few publicly accessible web site that don't work properly with FireFox. If I find one, I let the webmaster know:D. Firefox even works properly with Vista, which is something a lot of software can't say. The other thought is that nowhere (except possibly in parts of Redmond Washington) is it written that you can only use one browser.
