After market sliding cross-cut tables or build my own?

Greetings to all,

I am in a quandry. I don't know if I should build my own panel cutting jig(s) or bite the bullet and purchase an after market sled? Any comments?? Pros and Cons??

Pros on building your own:
WAY cheaper, customized to suit your tastes, gives you a chance to hone you jib building skills.

Cons:
Takes time to build. May not be accurate once you get it built.
